What we keep, and why.

Who we are

ILAAHI FOUNDATION is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation registered in England and Wales, charity number 1217778. We are the data controller for the information described here.

What we collect when you donate

• Your email address, so we can send a receipt.
• Your donation: amount, one-off or monthly, the cause you chose and any note you leave.
• If you add Gift Aid: your title, first and last name, house name or number, street, town and postcode, plus the date you made the declaration and the wording you agreed to. HMRC requires this to pay the Gift Aid.
• If you tick “send me occasional updates”: we keep that preference and a record of each update we send you. Every update has an unsubscribe link.

Your card details are entered on our payment provider's secure page and never reach our systems. The provider processes the payment under its own privacy notice.

Why we use it

• To take your donation and send you a receipt (performance of a contract).
• To claim Gift Aid from HMRC and keep the records the law requires (legal obligation).
• To answer you if you get in touch (legitimate interest).

We do not sell or share your details for marketing, and we do not add you to a mailing list.

How long we keep it

Donation records and Gift Aid declarations are kept for six years after the end of the tax year in which we claim, as HMRC requires. Other correspondence is kept only as long as it is useful.

Your rights

You can ask to see the information we hold about you, correct it, or ask us to delete it where the law allows. You can also cancel a Gift Aid declaration at any time. Message us on Instagram. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Cookies

This site sets no tracking or advertising cookies. Our payment provider may set cookies on its own pages to prevent fraud.
